The Scarecrow

While it is not my biggest intellectual leap, by any means, the triple cruxifiction is always the first image that pops into my head when I hear the word "scarecrow." And in this panel about the friends of Dorothy (for the Wizard of Oz series) is no exception. While it might be taken as an indictment that religion is, like the scarecrow counterpart, brainless, that is not my intention. I think that it has more to do with isolation and positioning than anything else.
